My Books

What I’m working on

I took a long break after writing my last book Olly Explores 7 Wonders of the Chesapeake Bay. Life can get pretty busy at times. Now I find that my creative energy is about to burst. I’ve always wanted to try self-publishing, and with all the tools that are available to today’s writers and artists, I can’t wait to get going.

I’m working on another picture book about the Bay (I just can’t resist) as well as some middle grade novels I had started years ago. I’m also thinking about chapter books and easy readers. My greatest challenge will be learning illustration. I have a little know-how, but I also have a lot to learn.

If you want to follow my journey into self-publishing, subscribe to my blog for updates. I will be adding to the writing tips section and sharing what I learn as I go. Talk to you soon!

Tools I Use

Stop by my Tools I Use page where I share tools and resources I use to help me with my writing projects. I will add to this list as I learn more about software and digital tools that make life a little easier for today’s writer.

Crafts

Do you like to make crafts with your children? I find that reading stories stirs up the imagination and leads to creative energy for making something that is both hands-on and fun. Here are a few that go well with my books. Click on the images for details and instructions. Or visit my Crafts Page
